Welcome to the official website of the Northeastern Connecticut Vegetarian Society.
The Northeastern Connecticut Vegetarian Society provides a space for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores to meet, exchange ideas and recipes and share delicious, compassionate and healthful meals together. We have been organizing potlucks and presentations in Storrs, CT since 2005.
We meet monthly and would love to have you join us. You should always feel welcome to attend any of our events, and if you have time to volunteer, we could use the help!
upcoming events
We usually try to hold a potluck each month in various locations. Please see below for scheduled potlucks. We ask that people bring a vegan dish to share for 4 to 8 others and a monetary donation of $2 to $8, but this is entirely optional and no one is ever turned away.
The following is a list of upcoming events:
Saturday, October 24th at 1 PM at the Wrench in the Works - NECVS Vegan Pizza Party!!!! Come eat delicious vegan pizza! This will be our last ever event at the Wrench at 861 Main Street in Willimantic CT. Pizzetta of Mystic CT
(http://www.pizzettamystic.com/) has *graciously* offered to sponsor this event
free of charge and will be providing us with their delicious vegan
pizzas topped with the award-winning Daiya vegan cheese. Feel free to
bring your favorite recipes, drinks, vegan desserts to share, etc,
but it is not necessary. Just come relax and enjoy some great vegan
pizza!
There is no charge for any NECVS event, but attendees are always
encouraged to donate if they can. Donations will be used to help the
Wrench relocate to a better space in the same area.
Please join us to help bid this space a final farewell. If you are
sure you are coming, please do RSVP as soon as you can so we can
give Pizzetta a headcount. If you just want to show up the day of
the event that is fine too, but the better the approximation,
the greater the odds of us having enough pizza for all!
